Description
Tilmicosin is a broad-spectrum semi-synthetic bactericidal macrolide antibiotic synthesized from tylosin. It has an antibacterial spectrum that is predominantly effective against Mycoplasma s.p, Pasterella s.p and Haemophilus spp. and various Gram-positive organisms such as Corynebacterium spp. It is believed to afffect bacterial protein synthesis. Following oral administration, tilmicosin is excreted mainly through defecation and excretion.
Indication
Az.Timicosin Oral is indicated for the control and treatment of respiratory infections caused by tilmicosin-susceptible pathogens in chicken, turkey, duck and goose.
To ensure correct dosage, concentration should be adjusted to the actual fluid intake.
Do not use in layers producing eggs for human consumption.

Administration & Dosage
Dissolve in drinking water or mix with feed for 3 - 5 days consecutiveliy with the following recommended concentration: 15-20 mg/kg of b.w or 1ml/12-16kg of b.w, which is equivalent to 1ml per 2-3 litres of drinking water for the treatment and prevention of respiratory diseases for the whole flock.
Withdrawal period
12 days before slaughter for broilers.
19 days before slaughter for turkeys.
